I’m thinking about selling my home, but I know that it has seen better days. What do you recommend?

I am glad that you realize that preparing your house for sale is important to get top dollar. First simply get rid of clutter!  Since you plan to move, get a head start and pack at least 3 boxes from each room! Your rooms will appear larger with less in them. That goes for closets too! Then clean your house and replace all burned out light bulbs so that your house will be bright and light! If painting touch ups are needed now is the time. Curb appeal is important since many buyers drive by the areas first, so make sure windows are clean and shutters are freshly painted and house free of any mildew or mold, and landscaping neat and cheerful.
